ParticipantHey Fellow Sundowners, it’s Michael Graves…a new member.
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a powered glider and/or glider group. The idea is to get a group of glider RC plane guys together and exchange tips for soaring. EG- 1) Finding thermals 2) How to land 3) Competition to see who can stay aloft the longest.
I think it would be informative and fun. I have an E-flite Conscendo 1.5 meter, and I really enjoy it. It flies so well it doesn’t want to land, lol. And I would like to exchange ideas on how to land it.
Please let me know what you think, and thanks for tuning in.

ModeratorGreat Idea! Why don’t you bring this up at the next Club Meeting, May 14th at the flying field!

ParticipantThanks Ed. I will introduce the idea at the next meeting.
Probably get my Conscendo up to today, and do some soaring.
Hope the wind doesn’t get to blowing too much!May 5, 2026 at 10:37 am #1779dogsledsgoldfish@gmail.com
Participant5-5-26-Flew the Conscendo 1.5 yesterday at the field. Very windy, 20mph gusting higher. Did a couple of rotations, before the wind picked up even more.
It’s interesting, to see how much the headwind really slows the inertia of the Conscendo (a good thing) as it wants to stay airborne when landing.Does anybody have the new Conscendo 2.0?
Thanks
